How to apply blush part 2: making your face look thinner and correcting double chins

To make your face look thinner, it's necessary to make a combination using two shades of blush, one darker and one lighter. Using the darker shade, we´re going to create a shadow effect, making the face look thinner.

Apply the blushes like this:

Red blush: that's the darker shade, used to contour. To find the right spot where to apply this blush, suck the cheeks, doing that "fish face", and apply the blush on the hollow. Blend well, so you don't get lines on your face.

Pink blush: this is the lighter shade. This blush is applied on the apple cheeks, to give that healthy look, and define the apple cheeks.

Yellow: that's the highlighter. It's applied above the apple cheeks, to give a glowy look to the face.

When applying these blushes, make sure to blend them very well, so you don't get three lines on your face.

Correcting double chins:

A double chin will become less prominent when a shade or two darker of compact powder is applied – keep the shade natural and it must be shimmer free (shhmmer can draw attention to the area, so keep all metallic, luminous, sparkley products to your eyes or lips.
Apply your shading directly onto the fullness of the double chin area – basically under your chin and blend outwards to any loose skin under the jawline to create a slimming effect on your throat.
Contouring and shading stems from basic color theory – dark colors reduce, recede and minimise, while lighter colors make larger or bring out, and are highlighting. So use darker colors to your advantage till your chin is in tip top shape!
